2025 ASBA Educational Foundation Scholarship Awards
The ASBA Educational Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2025 Scholarship Awards. Established in 1994, the program recognizes academic excellence and leadership potential. All scholarships are one-time awards.
ASBA Freshman Scholarships
Award: $2,500 (Four scholarships, one per Arkansas congressional district).
Eligibility: Sons, daughters, or legal wards of publicly elected Arkansas school board members who served during the 2024-2025 school year.
Criteria: Academic performance, leadership potential, and other qualifications outlined in the application.

Marshall Hughes Memorial (Freshman) Scholarship
Award: $5,000 (in honor of Marshall Hughes, former Beardsley Public Finance employee).
Eligibility: Overall statewide freshman winner selected from the ASBA Freshman Scholarship applicants.

J.K. Williams Memorial Scholarship
Award: $2,500 (in honor of former ASBA Executive Director J.K. Williams).
Eligibility:
Publicly elected Arkansas school board members, their spouses, children, grandchildren, or legal wards.
Must be college juniors or higher pursuing a degree in education at an Arkansas institution.
Board members must have served during the 2024-2025 school year.
