AWARD CRITERIA
Nominations will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Support for Educational Performance: Demonstrate your board's commitment to student achievement and educational excellence.
Support for Educational Improvement Projects: Highlight your involvement in school transformation initiatives.
Adherence to Adopted Policies: Showcase your board's role as an effective policymaking body.
Commitment to a Code of Ethics: Provide evidence of ethical practices and commitment to professional standards.
Harmonious Relationships: Illustrate the positive relationships within your board and with the superintendent.
Public Relations Efforts: Show your board's engagement with the community and public relations activities.
Participation in Workshops: Detail your board's involvement in ASBA workshops and performance improvement programs.
Financial Oversight: Demonstrate how your board supports continuous improvement through effective financial management.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Any current public school district superintendent or board member can nominate their school board by collecting and submitting data supporting the above criteria.
APPLICATION PROCESS

Prepare Your Submission: Gather evidence and documentation supporting each criterion. Ensure your submission does not exceed 60 pages.

Deadline: Submit your application between August 1 and October 1, 2024.
Once the submission deadline has passed, an awards committee of six ASBA board members will conduct a "blind" assessment, ensuring a fair and unbiased selection process.
