AAEA and ASBA Team Up for Annual Joint Conference

Little Rock, AR--March 3, 2014--Once again, the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators and the Arkansas School Boards Association will team up for the annual Joint Leadership Conference May 13, 2014, at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Little Rock. The conference kicks off with executive directors Dr. Richard Abernathy and Dr. Tony Prothro addressing the wins and losses of the 2014 Fiscal Session. Throughout the day, participants will dialogue with educators and policy makers on these important topics:
  • NSLA Funding and Appropriate Expenditures
  • Teacher Salary Disparities
  • Superintendent Evaluation/TESS Update
  • Myths and Truths of Common Core
  • Digital Learning
  • A-F Grading Scale for Schools
  • Public School Employee Health Insurance
The conference format is designed to best facilitate interaction with and learning from the best in the field. Registration is $150 per person through Tuesday, May 6, 2014, and $175 after May 6. Requests for cancellation received through May 6 will be refunded at 100 percent. Cancellation requests received after May 6 will refunded at fifty percent. Check-in and continental breakfast begin at 8 a.m. The conference starts at 9 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m. Lunch is included. Allow plenty of time to arrive and secure parking. If the hotel garage is full, additional parking is available at the garage located at 2nd and Main streets, about four blocks from the hotel.
