Position: Superintendent of Schools

Duties: The Superintendent serves as the chief executive officer of the district, overseeing all aspects of district operations, including educational programs, finance, personnel, and community relations. In a small district setting, the candidate is expected to handle the central office tasks and delegate the direct responsibilities of the elementary and high school to the principals. The candidate shall be responsible to the Board of Education for administering the school system according to the mandates of the laws, Arkansas Department of Education, other agencies of jurisdiction, and policies governing school operations.

Qualifications:

- Required:

  • BS in Education

  • Certified Arkansas Superintendent

  • Minimum of 2 years in an administrative leadership position (principal, assist

    principal, dean of students, or similar)

  • Proven track record with academic excellence

  • Proven leader with excellent communication skills

- Preferred:

  • MS in Education

  • Superintendent experience
