Registration Open for New Board Member Institute

Registration is now open for ASBA’s 2013 New Board Member Institute to be held October 14 at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Little Rock. Check-in and networking begin at 8 a.m. and the sessions run from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. School board members will earn six hours of training credit for attending. The institute is designed for newly elected school board members, but all are welcome. ASBA wants to help you get off to the right start in serving your schools and students and reduce dramatically the time necessary for you to get up to speed. • Effective New Board Member Orientation
  • The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
  • The Nuts and Bolts of School Board Meetings
